Microsoft will hold an Xbox Partner Preview event this Thursday to showcase Alan Wake 2 DLC and other game content

Rare Studios CEO Craig Duncan has been promoted to head of Xbox Game Studios. Duncan has been in leadership roles at Rare for nearly 14 years and will succeed Alan Hartman, who was named head of Xbox Studios last year and previously led Forza Motorsport studio Turn 10.

Microsoft said: “In this Xbox Partner Preview event, players can preview the content of the new expansion pack “The Lake House” of “Alan Wake 2”, the dynamic new trailer of “Yakuza 8 Gaiden”, the boss battle demonstration of the fantasy soul action game “Mingmo: The Feather of the Deep Void”, and the world premiere of several games, which will soon be launched on Xbox/Window PC and Game Pass.”

Xbox Partner Preview “will continue to share exciting game news from excellent partners around the world: you will see the exposure of new games, the announcement of release dates, and new ways to play upcoming games. What’s more intimate is that during the live broadcast, Xbox Wire will exclusively release the behind-the-scenes development stories of some games.”

Microsoft will live stream its latest Xbox Partner Preview event this Thursday, October 17. The event will begin at 10am Pacific Time / 1pm Eastern Time / 6pm GMT (1am Beijing Time on October 18). The digital showcase will showcase a number of new and upcoming games from third-party developers, including Remedy Entertainment, Sega, and 505 Games. The event will be broadcast on Xbox’s YouTube and Twitch channels for 25 minutes, during which more than ten new trailers will be released.
