The third chapter of Black Myth: Wukong is about the night when the white dew comes. We will fight in the snow and meet characters such as Kang Jinlong, Huang Mei, and Little Maitreya Buddha. We can also learn the forbidden character formula. The following editor will bring you a summary of the boss branch collection strategy for the third chapter of the plot process, for reference
After arriving at the snowy mountain location and interacting with the initial teleportation point of the Frost Road, walk up the hillside and you will encounter the first boss of this chapter, the Red-butt Monkey. However, this Red-butt Monkey will immediately run away after we reduce its health bar to half.
After successfully defeating him, enter the temple and walk to the left. At the end, a white-feathered bird will turn us into bats. Follow him forward and we will find a little Maitreya performing a ritual here.
After talking to us for a few words, he will release the first demon king encountered in this level (unfortunately it is only in the first stage, and he will run away after you defeat him) – Kang Jinlong!
After defeating Kang Jinlong, the ice on the sea surface cracks. At this time, the horse monkey will appear again and then drag us into the second scene of this chapter – the Buddha Realm.
After waking up in the Buddha Realm, walk out and you will find the first save point of this level – the lower level of the Buddha Realm.
And in the abyss next to the save point, there is a boss we need to kill, named Demon General Lotus Eye. This is a boss who has no melee means but many long-range output means. He can be defeated by flexibly using the stick flowers.
After killing Lianyan, we returned to the teleportation point of the lower level of the Buddha Realm and climbed up along the inner walls. There was a big bell at the top of the exit of the Buddha Realm, and inside it was the second demon general of the Buddha Realm – Miaoyin.
After killing the demon general Miaoyin, walk out of the boss field of the Buddha bell, go to the ancestral hall at the door to save, and drill out of the pagoda world scene along the hillside on the right side of the ancestral hall.
When you come to the snowy area, there are many enemies pretending to be corpses on the ground. Players can keep pressing the lock button. If they can lock on to the corpse, it proves that it is an enemy pretending to be one.
There are two roads here. One is the horizontal path on the left. There are resources at the end. But be careful, there is a humanoid elite monster covered with tentacles. It not only has first-class defense capabilities, but also has a high desire to attack, a fast attack speed, and very good damage. Fortunately, it is close to the save point, and players have the opportunity to try repeatedly. Moreover, the monster will not be resurrected after death, so players don’t have to worry.
After collecting the resources on the left, we walk up the uphill road on the right and we can see a temple where the second stage of the Red-butted Horse Monkey is waiting for us, and there is also a Taoist priest who will enchant our gourd. After we defeat the second stage of the Red-butted Horse Monkey, the Taoist priest will give us a new spell – the Sheltering Spell.
The effect of Shelter is to generate a circle at the player’s feet. Enemy units cannot enter the range, and the player can continuously restore mana while in the circle.
This is one of the only two ways in the game that can restore our mana. The other way is to rely on wine and elixirs. The magic of the Anbao technique is that it can prevent enemy units from entering the circle. It is very effective against some bosses and gives us a chance to breathe.
After saying goodbye to the old Taoist priest, don’t forget the treasure chest on the left side of the temple, which contains materials for strengthening our weapons.
After collecting the materials, we went out from the exit of the temple, and next we came to one of the highlights of this chapter – Kang Jinxingjun.
For specific fighting methods, please refer to the boss strategy on this site.
After killing Kangjin Star Lord, Zhu Bajie was rescued by us by accident and reunited with us. It was obvious that we had no intention of reuniting with Zhu Bajie, but it seemed that this was also the guidance of destiny.
It turns out that the entire boss battlefield of Kangjin Star Lord is on the back of Turtle General. Here we use the power of Turtle General to cross the sea and successfully arrive at the Xiaoxitian scene.
The first place to log in is the north shore of the Sea of Bitterness. Here, as soon as you get down from the Turtle General, there is a shrine where you can save. It is recommended that players use the materials just obtained from Kang Jinxingjun to make a new weapon. After this weapon hits the enemy 6 times with light attacks, each attack will add range lightning damage. Both the attack power and special effects are excellent.
In addition, there is a hidden boss, Chen Long, just below the turtle’s head. After killing him, you can start the follow-up tasks with Xu Dog.
After making a handy weapon, walk to the right side of the coastline and move along the remains of the snake general. When you reach the end, you will trigger a boss battle – Infinite Bat.
After commemorating the sacrificed snake general, the turtle general will give us a purple quality brew – turtle tears.
After obtaining the Turtle Tears, we walk to the left side of the coastline. At the end, we can see a route to the temple. Entering the temple, there will be an old traveler who keeps telling riddles, and two elite monsters ambushing us.
After getting rid of the elite monsters, walk to the pond on the left side of the temple. In the pond there is a fairy-quality wine – Blue Bridge Fengyue.
After obtaining the key props, we use the Earth-Shrinking Talisman to return to the ancestral hall on the coastline. Next, walk to the right along the coastline. There is a staircase to the right of the middle of the coastline that can continue to go up the mountain. We continue to move forward along this staircase. We come to the location of the Jieyu Gallery.
The bonfire road here leads to the Buddhist temple in the mountains, and the road is a one-way road. Players just need to fight their way up along the uphill road.
After arriving at the Buddhist temple, little Maitreya appeared in front of us. Here he put forward new requirements for us. We must find 4 Buddha statues to worship before we can unlock the final passage to the small Leiyin Temple on the top of the mountain.
19. The first Buddha statue is at the lower left corner of the mountain where the small Maitreya statue is located. The second Buddha statue is under the stairs going down the mountain to the left of the Buddha statue. Basically, as long as we walk along this road, we can find these four Buddha statues.
20. After finding all the Buddha statues, we go back to talk to Little Maitreya, who helps us open the gate to the top of the mountain. (The gate to the top of the mountain is not easy to find. In fact, we need to climb the stairs on the left to the terrace of the Buddhist temple, and then find a steeper mountain climbing road, which is the only way to the top of the mountain.
Go to the first teleportation point of Paradise Valley – One Thought Wall. Then walk along the uphill slope and you will meet the first boss of this scene – Bu Bai (but he is also a person who runs away halfway through the fight). As the only boss among all the bosses who can parry our light attacks, the performance of his moves is still quite good.
After he escapes, we turn our view back and we can see a place where spiritual energy is collected. After collecting it, look to the right of the cliff and we can see a broken pillar. We can jump onto the pillar and absorb the next spiritual energy point.
After absorbing the spiritual points, we headed uphill along the pillars. This road can also lead up the mountain, just like the regular mountain climbing route.
You can see a lot of stone monsters along the way, but they all have their backs to us. You can charge up 3 stages of chopping sticks in advance, go around behind them to attack them, and then follow up with a few light attacks to take them away safely.
After about 5 minutes of walking, we will meet Bu Bai again, where we can defeat him completely.
After defeating the Invincible, don’t forget that there is a meditation spot on the right, where you can get 1 skill point for free.
After that, we slide down along the snow trail, and then walk straight along the mountain path on the left, and we will encounter the second teleportation point of this level – the Tower of Sin.
Finally, looking to the right of the save point, you can see that there are other roads below. It seems that the remaining path of this level needs to be found at the foot of the mountain.
Walk downstream along the waterfall and you will come across the second teleportation point of this level (open the teleportation point first to explore the map)
Keep walking along the stone path at the teleportation point, and you will find several places with ginseng for collection. This is actually the location of a hidden boss. Every ginseng here is transformed from a ginseng spirit, and there is even an old ginseng spirit with high health and high defense. Unfortunately, its moves are dull, and it is a character no different from a small monster (I died once after saying this…)
After the fight, remember that behind the tower close to the mountain (or the tower closest to the old ginseng spirit), there is a fairy-quality wine. Don’t miss it.
Go up a hillside next to the Tower of Sin (there is a bamboo shoot spirit next to the slope that will ambush players, so be careful), and you can see several wooden gates. We need to pass through these gates to reach the next place.
After passing through the third gate, there will be an elite monster, Infinite Bat, waiting for the player. After defeating it, look to the right and you will see a red temple gate. Then go in this direction. (There are two talking monsters at the gate. They are quite cute and have a strong desire to attack.)
After defeating him, go through the red temple gate and you will see a Buddha statue as tall as the mountain. Below it is the corpse of an unknown general. You can absorb his spirit. After obtaining it, only the spirit will be displayed – the three generals. I don’t know which great man fell here. It is estimated that it will be an important prerequisite for subsequent tasks (after all, this scene also appeared in the pv)
After a little exploration here, you will find an iceberg, and at the top of the right side of the iceberg there is a magnificent temple. It is estimated that the Leiyin Temple mentioned by the fake Maitreya is here. We will restore the status at the save point here.
Go to the gate of Xiao Leiyin Temple, and you will see a bloody red seal in front of the gate. It turns out that the last demon general is sealed here to guard the gate of Leiyin Temple. After defeating him, we will officially enter the scene of Xiao Leiyin Temple.
After entering the Little Leiyin Temple, we will find that there are many masked monks here. They have high damage, high toughness, and domineering moves. They are the most difficult monsters to deal with in this area (yes, they are monsters, not elite monsters, but fortunately their alert range is very small, only about 4 body positions, so we can start to accumulate power early and go around behind them to cause great damage, which can also be regarded as a fancy sneak)
Pass through two Zhengxin halls and come to the center of the square of Xiao Leiyin Temple. In the middle is an elite monster with spirit – Clay Bodhisattva. On the right is a hidden boss of this area – Bujing (in fact, there are several hidden monks in the third chapter – Bujing, Bubai, Bubude, and Zhineng Monk, belonging to a series. Unfortunately, this guide only discovers two of them, and they will be added later). On the left is a treasure chest, don’t forget to open it.
After defeating the two bosses, walk up the steps, pass through the guardhouse gate, and come to the door of the main hall of Xiao Leiyin Temple. There are two pseudo-Buddha elite monsters waiting for us. After defeating them, we can officially open the door of the main hall of Xiao Leiyin Temple and confront Huang Mei himself.
Huang Mei was originally a boy under Maitreya Buddha. Because he stole the magic weapon under Maitreya, he began to come down to the world to cheat people. He vowed that he understood the Buddhist teachings better than Tathagata. He believed that indulgence was a person’s original state. Without indulgence and desire, everything about a person would lose its instinct.
We certainly disagreed with his fallacy, and the two sides immediately started fighting. After successfully abusing him for a period of time, Huang Mei immediately showed his magic weapon – the human bag. After being sucked into it, he found that the red-butted horse monkey was also in it. Hey, Zhu Bajie was also there. The two fought for several rounds. Second Brother! Let me help you!
Unfortunately, we, the Tianming people, were still inexperienced in the matter and were gradually influenced by Huangmei’s thoughts in the bag. We became murderous and transformed ourselves into new red-butt monkeys. Fortunately, we regained our senses after being called by the second senior brother.
Unfortunately, the power of the human bag is still too strong. After being shrunk by Huangmei, we were placed in Xiaoxitian, and he said that he had three thousand disciples and countless believers, and he wanted me to kill them at will. The purpose was to reawaken our inner desire to kill. Unfortunately, no matter how many believers there were, they were just made of yellow earth, not real believers. No matter how many arguments Huangmei had, or how strong his inducement was, we would not be fooled again.
Bring all our dignity and faith and challenge him again. The sufferings of the world are all caused by people’s excessive indulgence, not that indulgence is the real world. We must shatter his lies (Of course, it is best not to rely too much on clones and immobilization in the last stage. The clones are easily brainwashed by him and come back to attack us, and the immobilization will directly make him indestructible. It must be fully charged and hit three times to solve it. It is very difficult to fight.)
After defeating him, people finally understood that Huang Mei actually had Buddha in his heart, but he was pursuing Buddha just for the sake of becoming Buddha, rather than saving all people and becoming Buddha instantly. His over-utilitarianism led to him not being a true Buddha throughout his life, as his obsession was too deep.
After the defeat, we finally got back our third root – Nose Love.
The above is a summary of the boss side quest collection guide for the third chapter of Black Myth: Wukong. There will be many hidden maps in the third picture, and you can refer to the guide to find them.
