The highest record for a single-player JRPG! ReFantazio peaks at over 85,000 on Steam

The JRPG “ReFantazio” developed by Atlus and published by Sega has received “particularly positive reviews” from players since its release on the 11th of this month. After just three days, the number of active players on Steam exceeded 85,000, setting a record for single-player JRPG games.

According to SteamDB, ReFantazio reached a peak of 85,961 online players on Steam, becoming the highest-ranked single-player JRPG in the industry and shaking up the entire JRPG genre.

No previous game in the genre has achieved such a high online rate after release, proving that Atlus’ efforts to move towards a new high fantasy IP have achieved significant results.

It’s worth noting that ReFantazio has more active players across the multiple platforms it’s released on, which also shows that single-player games are here to stay and are growing.
